German Fest

German Fest will be on the 26 of July in Milwaukee’s Lake front at Henry Maier Festival Park in Milwaukee’s City Centre the festival starts on the 26th of July to the 28th of July. The tickets are $20.00 for adult and $7.00 for senior citizens and students you will need your student id with you to get the student discount and only on Friday you can get into the park for $5.00. Children under the age of 12 years are free with an adult. You can get into the park for free on the 28th of July if you bring three can veggies to the south gate to donate to the Hunger Task Force between 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. You can also get free admission on the 28th of July by attending Catholic mass at 9:00 am when the gates open.  Here are the hours that the gates open Friday the 26th of July 3:00 pm – 12:00 AM on Saturday the 27th of July 12:00 PM – 12;00 AM and on Sunday they will be opening at 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM on the 28th of July.

This is the 43rd annual Germen fest in Milwaukee celebrating the Germen culture for all ages don’t miss out on this Milwaukee tradition. Come down and listen to Germen Music and bands like Alpensterne, Dorf Kapelle, and The Biermen just to name a few from the Germen Fest website. For family fun activities you can watch the Glockenspiel show by the BMO Harris pavilion and kid’s arts and crafts for children ages 4 – 10 years old at the Children’s activities area near the Glockenpiel also check out the t- shirt tent where you can create your own t-shirt.

Looking for something to drink there will be lakefront brewer, Molson Coors, and Leinkugel serving a huge variety of Germen and American Beers on tap for you to enjoy also wine tasting. Their will be 12 food traders serving up delicious Germen and American food for you to enjoy.

If you’re planning on driving to the festival and park in Milwaukee City Centre. There are a few car parks you can park at SKG Parking located at 300 N Van Buren Street Milwaukee, Car park 280 N Jackson Street Milwaukee, and Historic Third ward packing located at 212 N Milwaukee Street Milwaukee.  If you don’t want to pay for parking in a car park and want to save some money by taking public transport. You can take the tram called the hop L line to the lakefront then walked to German fest from the US Bank building or take the MCTS bus to the grounds use bus routes 15, Green Line,  and 18. Just get off the bus on East Chicago Street and North Water Street then walk down Chicago Street for 16 minutes  that is 0.7 miles until you reach the festival grounds. If you want to take the Amtrak train to German fest, get off the train at Milwaukee’s intermodal Station in Milwaukee’s City Centre then walk to the tram station and take the hop M line to East St. Paul Ave and N Water Street get off the M line then transfer to the L line to lake front. then get off the tram at the lake front station then walked to German fest from the US Bank building.
