The Harry Potter shop opened in Chicago’s City Centre on Wednesday the 10^th of April 2025 on Michigan Ave located at 676 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. The Shop is just like the one in King Cross Station at Platform 9 3/4 quarters in London, England UK and the New York City, New York location this is its second location in the United States not counting the Universal Studios in Orlando Florda also Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter Films was at the store the day before opening day according to a store Employee and he also said that people started lining up in front of the store at 7:00 Am this morning on Saturday the 12^th of April and the store opened at 9:00 Am. Inside that had the goblet of Fire right near the entrance and no Professor Dumbledore I did not place my name in the goblet of fire or did I hunt hunt.

They also had official Harry Potter Merchandise from clothing to books and food also Butter Beer Chicago Stile in the Butter Beer Bar they also had a weal that you could spin to find out what jellybean  you should try the one it choice for me was the vomit flavour bean just saying I did not even bother to try but I did enjoy a pint of Butter Beer and Harry Potter’s Birthday cake both where great and you could keep the pint class that the beer was in.

They also had an area where you could make your own personal Hogwarts letter and it does ask for your address and postcode along with your first and last name but don’t worry you can have fun with it by making up a fake address to put down and you do not have to put your real address because they will just print it out at the shop and not send it to your house.

If you are planning to go to the store this week you will have to scan a QR code, then put in your mobile number and you will be placed in line, and they will tell you by text when it will be your turn to get in to the shop. I got in at 11:00 Am because store security told everyone to go into the store. Then around 1:05 pm I got a text message saying that it was my turn to get into the store. A Store employee told Ben’s Media that this is not a popup shop and it’s staying in Chicago Illinois permanently so if you could not come down during the opening week you will not have to worry. According to the Harry Potter shop Chicago’s website say that the store is open Monday to Thursday at 10:00 Am to 8:00 Pm and on Friday to Sunday they open at 9:00 Am to 9:00 Pm.
