Milwaukee WI – On Tuesday the 17th of February is Fat Tuesday (Shrove Tuesday) and Paczki Day the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of lent in the Catholic / Christian religion. where many Christians and Catholics start fasting and giving up on sweets for lent from Wednesday the 18th of February to Friday the 3rd of April. Mardi gras is also on the 17th of February. If you want to celebrate Shrove Tuesday / Fat Tuesday in the greater Milwaukee area in Southeast Wisconsin there are many great Bakery’s where you can get yourself a Paczki in Milwaukee you can go to the National Bakery on 16th Street, Grebes Bakery on Lincoln Ave, and Wioletta’s Polish Market on South Howell Ave. Just naming a few locations if you don’t know what a Paczki is it’s a polish doughnut. With the help of a Facebook group page called Bay View Town Hall we asked the group for great Bakery’s located in Milwaukee to help with this report. The group told Ben’s Media News some amazing bakeries like the two bakeries that we already mentioned and Gather Bakehouse on the corner of East Oklahoma Ave and South Herman Street in Bay view Wisconsin and Hooch MKE Bakery on South Delaware Ave in Bay View Wisconsin. Some Bakeries will have king cake for Mardi Gras in the Milwaukee area.
