Chicago Illinois – Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in the Hert of downtown Chicago and watch the parade on Saturday March 14th and Chicago is also dying the Chicago River on the same day at 10:00 am then go and watch the parade at 12:00 PM on Columbus drive. Metra wants to be your set of wheels in and out of downtown on the 14th so you can have fun and not have to worry about driving. Metra announced in a press release that they will be adding service and extra trains it’s 11 lines on the 14th and they are going to have extra service on the Rock Iland line on Sunday the 15th for the Saint Patrick’s Day parade in the Morgan park neighborhood. Metra is reminding customers that alcohol beverages will be banned on all trains on Saturday March 14, and Sunday March 15 and they should not bring backpacks or water bottles onboard the trains and to expect slower boarding at stations due to increased passenger loads. You can get a $7.00 weekend pass on the Ventra app so you can get to and from Chicago on Saturday and Sunday so you will not miss out on participating in the Saint Patrick’s Day events also the lines that will have extra service will be as follows BNSF, Milwaukee District North, Milwaukee District West, Rock Island, Union Pacific North, Union Pacific Northwest and Union Pacific West lines.
