Chicago Illinois – Metra just announced in a press release on Thursday October 8, 2026, that on Wednesday the 14th of October they are inviting Metra riders and members of the public to the Lasalle street station located at 414 S. LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL 60605 in Downtown Chicago at the southern portion of the Loop. Riders and the general public will be able to see one of Metra’s new battery-powered trainsets from Stadler, the train will be on display on October 14 and on October 15 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on October 14 and will be on display at 8:00 am – 6:00 pm on October 15. So, the public will be able to see one of the new trains that will be hitting the rails in the year 2028 on the Rockland line and take commuters to and from Chicago. If you want to see the train for yourself in person, then come down to the Lasalle Street Station on October 14 from 10 am – 6 pm or on October 15 at 8 am – 6 pm the station is located at 414 South.
