
Chicago Illinois, – Metra is starting up their annual safety poster contest this year marks the 20th year of Metra running the contest to educated children and adults about train safety and being mindful around railway tracks and trains. Metra is asking for Chicago area students in primary school through High School to participate by making a poster for this year’s contest. the winning poster will be phased on weekend / holiday passes tickets and also on the Metra’s 2027 calendar. The deadline for this competition will be on Friday February 12th, 2027, if you wish to find out more about the safety poster contest just checkout the Metra website at metra.com/safety-competition for more information. This contest is open to all Chicagoland students in all grade levels from kindergarten to the 12th grade (high school seniors) to enter this competition but must reside in Metra’s six-county service area. The winner will be invited to a Metra bord meeting in June of 2027 to get recognized for their achievements also the first-place winner will also be getting a $ 5.00 gift card from Amazon. the second winner will receive a $ 250.00 Amazon gift card, and the third-place winner will also receive a $100.00 Amazon gift card. Metra also stated that the school with the most entries will also receive a $500.00 in gift and other amazing prizes. This competition is a great side activity for all students and lets them show their creativity and talent.
