Milwaukee Wisconsin – It was 25 years ago today that the world that we knew it at the time changed forever after four airplanes where hijacked on that Tuesday morning on the 11th of September 2001. Two planes hit both towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, and the third plane hit the pentagon in Washington D.C. Also, a fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Since then, people across the country stop and reflect every year on September 11 to remember the lives lost on 9/11/2001. At 7:45 AM CT today there will be a day of remembrance event in downtown Milwaukee at the war memorial center located at 750 N Lincoln Memorial Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202. City leaders, first responders also veterans will be at the event and it’s also open to the public.

There will be speakers and a wreath laying ceremony the wreaths will be placed on top of a steel beam from the WTC and a gun salute and taps will follow. The doors open at 7:30 am and the event starts at 7:45 am this morning at the War Memorial in downtown Milwaukee at 750 N Lincoln Memorial Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202. The War Memorial asked they you bring your children to the event so they can learn to never forget.
